This airport is so damn huge that jumbos look like straws.

This is not as complex as the video was making it seem. you have to keep in mind that a super telephoto lens is being used to capture this footage adding a compression effect to the footage that makes things seem a lot tighter than they actually are. That said. it is a cool video tho.

Pretty bad landing from a safety point of view, he missed the touch down zone big and ate up a lot of runway, I don’t know the circumstances for why the pilot made the decision to land like that.

Absolutely no doubt about the cockpit skills. However, this kind of approaches into fully populated zones to land in a post stamp should be avoided at any cost. Japan is not a poor country and can find a place to build a safest airport near Osaka.
